| | Het valt niet mee om een overzicht te krijgen van de modellen die in China gebouwd zijn. Door de planeconomie van de veelal regeringsfabrieken werd er geproduceerd zonder al te veel te letten op de verkoop, vraag en aanbod. Resultaat is een veelvoud van modellen die ook nog eens allemaal op elkaar lijken maar dan toch ook weer niet. Vaak werden modellen met dezelfde naam in andere fabrieken geproduceerd. Ook het motorblok kwam dan weer uit een ander locatie. Alle modellen gaan uit van slecht drie motorblokken met wat kleine variaties op dat thema. Ze hebben allemaal de 750 cc boxer. De M1, M1M en de M1S. De eerste twee zijn zijklepper, de laatste kopklepper. Onderstaand overzicht is datgene wat ik uit de Chinese teksten kon distilleren. Tussen 1980 en ongeveer 2002 waren er 17 locaties die de blokken gebruikte in motoren van verschillende modellen. Tot ongeveer 1984 waren de motoren min of meer gelijk. De bronnen spreken over het productiemodel Daquan(?). De juiste foto's staan nog niet bij de juiste fabrikanten.

| | It's not easy to get an overview of the models built in China. The planned economy of the mostly goverrment factories was produced without too much attention to sale, supply and demand. The result is a multitude of models that are also all similar but then again not. Often models with the same name were made in other plants. Also, the engine was from a different location.
All models are based on only three engines with some minor variations on that theme. They all have the 750 cc boxer. The M1, M1M and M1S. The first two are Side Valve, the last OHV. The following list is what I could distill from Chinese texts. Between 1980 and 2002 there were approximately 17 locations that made bikes in different models. Until about 1984, the engines are more or less equal. The sources speak of the production model Daquan (?). Pictures are not on the right place. Please Help.
