 B: BSA ??
Is your mystery bike made in England? If so, and this is only a guess, but it could've been made by the Saltley Cycle Company in Birmingham. They made motorcycles and bicycles from 1919 to 1924.

I say this only because the chain ring has the "S" fabrication (I don't know if Saltley had these on their bikes), much like the BSA Airborne bike. And they were also located in Birmingham.
