Military Motor Cycles
David Ansell
1985ISBN 0713438371
Nice book, many drawings, only they show less details of the bikes. However a complete book with lots of information.
Military Motorcycles of world war 2
Roy Bacon
1985 ISBN 08506185
Zeer goed boek. Buitengewoon informatief en compleet. Veel originele foto's. Jammer dat de periode beperkt blijft tot 1939-1945.
Very good book. Plenty information and complete. A lot of original pictures. The period 1939-1945 is perhabs to short.
Britsh Forces Motorcycles

Kijk zo zie ik ze nu graag. Veel meer informatie zult u nergens treffen. Deze jongens hebben hun huiswerk goed gedaan. Voor liefhebbers van legergroen een must.
This is how I like books. More information you will never find somewhere else. These boys did there homework. For lovers of armygreen a must.
The First Military Machine Scene
Reg Hide ?
1978 ISBN (?) 210157224
Fijn boekje.
Nice, little book. Not to much but much information inside. Beautiful black and white pictures. For the real fan. Probably one of the first books about the military bikes.
Military Motorcycles
Michael Green
1997 ISBN 150654627
This is an example how it is NOT done. A lot of noise and less info. Typical American book. A lot of money for 48 pages with misformed pictures. Written for kids or the writer thinks everybody is stupid.
The Complete Book of Police and Military Motorcycles
Joseph Berk
2001 ISBN 1581601409
This could be the book about the subjekt, its not. When they print a book in the USA its always the biggest or in this case, complete. No, it is not complete. Not complete at all. The only interresting part is about the Chinese and USA police. Mr. Berk made it easy for himself. Nothing about motorcycles from England, Italy, France or Switserland..

Krader im Einsatz 1934-1945
Horst Hinrichsen
ISBN 3860708635
Prachtig boek.
Beautiful book. A lot of  b/w pictures without glamour, just as it was. This is how a book is made.

  • Motorbikes were widely used by all sides in WW2 due to their agility, adaptability and speed,. A precious few survive today as rare collectors' items. The author, who is the Photo Archivist at the IWM has unearthed images of all the major marques. Famous British names (Triumph, Norton, Matchless, BSA, Velocette, James and Rudge) feature along with the bigger American machines from Indian and Harley-Davidson. German bikes have their own chapter with classics such as NSU, Zundapp and BMW and include hybrid tracked motorcycles known as Kettengrad - with some shots actually taken by General Erwin Rommel himself. Also covered are rare experimental prototypes photographed during trials and later in combat, the 'funnies' of the wartime biking world such as the Airborne forces Excelsior Welbike (British) and the Cushman parascooter (US). Together this is a unique collection of two-wheeled images.
